Well It's been hard getting the news out about this forum, for the spouses of intersex people. So hard that Andre even opened the forum up to everyone. Still no interest. I am begging all of you to tell a spouse/partner that this could be a great forum to meet new friends, vent, compare lives, be a shoulder to cry on or the one crying. I know that I need all those things, doesn't anybody else have a need? Help build this forum and maybe you will have happier spouses/partners at home with you. I really want to help promote marriages not divorces,children having both parents in the home, and partners that stick together. Can you help me do that? Thank You in Advance, Sincerely Sharon

Every Christian Family home aims to be complete with both parents and children stick together through thick or thin. I think each and every one of us has the burden of responsibility to show to the world that Intersex people with their spouses joined hand in hand in keeping the family intact and a good example to the community. I beleive this forum will help each and everyone of us be a better person with our family and friends and we can make a difference to the lives of others. I'm always willing to take the challenge of promoting this forum especially to Intersex people with their spouses.

My spouse and I thank-you very much for your reply. Staying together is what we've been striving to do even though it's not easy sometimes. But anything worth having is worth working hard for, right?! Being a good witness is a challenge when life is simple. I need some info cause my spouse is intersex as you all know and has had tummy pains come to find out she had a period. after the ultra sound womb ovaris everything basicaly inside yet all male still outside. today they did a small incision under her balls area to drain the old period blood and told her they would book her for an SRS which at this point shes not ready for! mixed feelings still transitioning slow. sharon mentioned her5 spouse going through the same thing and her spouses period stopped my question is my spouse has loss of questions and feels alone. shes stopped the meds spiro, estro cause they didnt know prior she had female insides. Does she have ta have the srs this quick?

Kimberlee, I also suggest that you both have a meeting with the doctor. Keep a list of questions and worries that pop into both of your minds so you will be fully prepared when you meet with the doctor/surgeon. Also look up the information about your spouse's medical condition (it would be great if the doctor puts a name to it/or the surgery he wants to do). If you both still don't feel comfortable about the surgery, get a second opinion at a different doctor's group. But don't wait too long just in case she in serious condition. Can't they fix her problem and skip the "change" part of the surgery? Best Wishes to you both.
